Allow clients to opt out of entire areas, or hide cost from an area.

So this is a multi faceted thing, but I notice 2 things when proposing to clients. Clients cant opt out of technology in a debatable area unless I remove that area myself from the proposal, or put an option with a custom item that says opt out. Secondly, if I want to give options, but don't want those to show in the overall price unless they choose to see them, I have to put in that option with opt out custom item that has $0 value so it doesn't calculate.
I would also like to be able to hide costs, and/or let clients hide/view the cost of a certain area in the total.

It would be nice if we could designate areas as either required, optional, or dependent on other areas. This would allow clients to remove areas from a proposal if they like, but with restrictions.
For example, I could make it so the control system is required. I could make distributed audio and optional area. I would then make different areas like Patio Music, Hallway Music, ... optional but dependent on the distributed audio section being active. If they disable distributed audio, all of the dependent areas disable.

I would like an area option that let's the client choose to remove the area from the proposal completely.
I can do this by creating a blank option, but I think it would be easier to have a button to exclude the area from the proposal and give me the option to enable or disable the button. The button should appear grayed out or have its label changed to Essential so the client knows which areas can be remove completely from the proposal.

Jeffrey Skalny: Yes, we are going to consider this when we make upgrades to optional items in July.
